Retail Volunteer - Diamond Creek Opportunity Shop

The Austin Health Diamond Creek Opportunity Shop is a much loved in the local community. Selling donations of clothes, crockery, kitchenware, toys and furniture, the shop raises funds for vital hospital equipment. In 2023, funds raised through the Op Shop supported the launch of the Australian First Kidney Profusion Program, and in 2024 supported the fundraising for the da Vinci Xi Robot. Other supports have included garden projects, upgrades to medical equipment, computers for our nurses, and bariatric equipment for the care of patients. The Op Shop has opening hours from Monday to Saturday and is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, with the support of  the Austin Foundation department of Austin Health, and the Volunteer Engagement Team.

Volunteers in the shop are well suited to working in a team environment, with direction from the Day Leader.  A shift once a week for a minimum of 4 hours, or a whole day is ideal. More if you have the time and can commit to it!
