Museum of Surrey Ambassadors engage visitors with artefacts from the collections and lead guided tours of museum exhibits. You also help monitor the galleries, answering visitor's questions and help everyone feel welcome.

Schedule

We are looking for Ambassador volunteers who are available Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays 9:30am - 12:00pm or 1:30 - 4:30pm. Our weekend volunteer positions are currently full, but applications for that team will reopen in August.

Education volunteers assist staff during school field trips to the museum. As someone who loves history and working with elementary aged children, they help kids learn and explore through hands-on activities and tours.

Schedule

Our Education programs run October - May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10:00 - 11:30am and 12:30 - 2:00pm, depending on when the programs are booked by schools. 

Love textiles?  Get woven up in the amazing Textile Centre at Museum of Surrey.  Help deliver hands-on programs and give spinning and weaving demonstrations for visitors of all ages.

Schedule

We are looking for Textile volunteers who are available during opening hours of the museum to get hands-on with demonstrations in the studio. We'd also love a few helpers for our after school and evening programs (schedule dependent on program bookings).
