General Interests
Patient Facing/Patient Care Areas

We have a variety of volunteer roles focused on supporting the inpatients and our nursing teams. Our goal is to ensure every inpatient has the support they need during their stay and an excellent patient experience. Volunteers visit assigned patients regularly and use active listening skills to check in on their needs and provide emotional support. We also have volunteers who assist patients with downloading the MyAtrium app which connects the patient to their doctor and medical information.
Cancer Patient Support

Volunteers support patients in many ways throughout their cancer journey. They visit with cancer patients and help chemotherapy patients place meal orders. They also deliver the orders to patients. Some serve to assist the staff with stocking supplies and checking on our waiting patients and visitors. The caring hearts of our volunteers touch the lives of many cancer patients every week.
Special Projects

Volunteers do amazing work behind the scenes to help many departments with special projects such as helping staff clean beds and machines, and stock items. We'll help you find the right project work that interests you!
