Narrative Medicine Program
Join the volunteer team that supports an impactful approach to helping our pediatric and adult patients cope with the stress of hospitalization.
Our Narrative Medicine Program uses different techniques to encourage children to express their feelings through writing and journaling. Narrative medicine strategies are also used in our pastoral care and Child Life programs and is expanding to support our clinical care teams and adult patients.
Volunteers in Narrative Medicine help to teach others and spread the word about Narrative Medicine practices including the 3 Minute Mental Makeover, patient diaries and meetings for staff.
