"Volunteering in hospice has shown me that even in the face of death, there is so much love and beauty in the world."

"The beauty of being a hospice volunteer is that you don't have to have all the answers; you just have to be there with an open heart."

General Interests

Hospice Patient Facing Roles

When you become a hospice volunteer you become part of a very special team who help to make every day count by bringing joy and enhancing our patient's quality of life. There are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer. We help you find the right fit for your unique interests, talents and abilities.

Crafting

Veterans blankets, Fidget blankets, Memory bears, Birthday cards…the list goes on and on with the many ways our talented volunteers share their gifts with our patients! We welcome new ideas of handmade items to lift the spirits of our patients. If you have an idea of something you'd like to share, please let us know.

Office Support/Administrative

Volunteers do amazing work behind the scenes to help with special projects such as creating patient education folders, helping staff phones, stocking items or assisting with computer projects. We'll help you find the right project work that interests you!

Pet/Animal Assisted Therapy

Our four-legged friends and their volunteer handlers bring joy and reduce anxiety for patients, families and teammates through our animal assisted therapy program. Dogs and other animals must be certified for animal assisted (pet) therapy and visit to homes and facilities where our patients reside. They are beloved by all!
