Heart & Soul, a volunteer-run store in Leawood filled with unique and quality vintage, antique and estate items, is looking for volunteers. All proceeds from Heart & Soul benefit Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. 

Volunteers are needed to fill 3-5 hour shifts. Currently, store hours are Tuesdays noon– 8 p.m.

and Saturday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The store is hoping to open an additional weekday (Thursday or Friday) based on volunteer availability. 

As a volunteer, you will be helping customers with shopping, purchasing process including using the cash and credit system and accepting donations. Other responsibilities may include sorting donations, organizing, pricing, and creating displays. Additional volunteers are also needed to pick up donations and/or paint furniture  – schedule varies.

This is a great opportunity to be of service to the community, meet new people, and make a difference. You will be working with friendly volunteers and customers in a beautiful space, so it promises to be a rewarding experience! All volunteers receive 20 percent off purchases at Heart & Soul and Story Boutique, Kansas City Hospice’s other resale boutique at Ranch Mart North in Leawood. 

Ideally, volunteers should be able to commit to working two or three shifts a month and be capable of light lifting. Heart & Soul is currently open 12 – 8 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturdays at 12904 State Line Rd. To see the store’s amazing items, follow Heart & Soul on Facebook.
