Veteran to Veteran
We Honor Veterans is a National Hospice and Palliative Care program in which Kansas City Hospice and NorthCare Hospice is a proud partner. The purpose of this program is to continue to honor our Veterans at the end of their lives. The We Honor Veterans Program involves the education of our staff and the community, special events honoring our Veterans for their service, and volunteering to serve our Veteran men and women.
Kansas City Hospice and NorthCare Hospice offers a Veteran to Veteran volunteer program in which Veterans can serve in a multitude of ways; friendly patient visits, life review through our Lifetime Legacy Video program, making keepsake quilts for patients and their families, help with light housekeeping, and phone calls of support. Volunteers may also assist in Veterans Day services and other special recognition events throughout the year.
