Special Interest Groups

The Redlands Coast Community Bushcare Program offers a range of special interest groups catering to different environmental interests. These groups are a valuable part of our larger Bushcare program, which provides opportunities for the community to give back to the environment. Whether you're interested in bird watching, water quality monitoring or seed collection our specialty interest groups offer a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and make a meaningful contribution to the environment. Join us today and become part of a community dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Redlands Coast!
If you're a keen bird watcher, join the Bushcare Birders for relaxed walks in Council conservation areas to identify and learn about birds. Meet on the first Thursday of every month (except January) at various locations in Redland City.
The Creek Crew is perfect for those interested in water quality monitoring, and macro-invertebrate survey activities. Join them at various locations on Redlands Coast. This is a smaller group that requires a willingness to learn waterway health monitoring techniques.
For those interested in seed collection, join our Seeders group on the last Tuesday of the month (except December and January) for a leisurely walk-through various bushland reserves to collect seed used to propagate native plants in the IndigiScapes Nursery.
So why wait? Join one of our specialty interest groups today and make a difference to the environment.
