Kitten Foster: Bottle Babies
Fostering orphan bottle baby kitten(s) is a very exciting, rewarding but exhausting job. Bottle-fed kitten(s) will require a lot of patience, attention, and time; often every two hours (even throughout the night). Be aware, that kitten(s) that come into the shelter without a mother are extremely fragile and no matter what you do, some may or may not survive.
The Foster Parent's role is to be a supportive "surrogate parent" by providing a calm, safe, nurturing environment. Kittens will require a safe room/cage, they will need privacy, quiet, and minimal activity until they get older. Depending on the age of the kitten(s), may require an 8-10 week commitment.
