Invites applications for the position of: 

 

Inventory Support Helper 

(volunteer)  

 

Purpose:                           Support the Logistics team by verifying County assets across                                                             departments to ensure a complete and accurate 100% inventory                                                     reconciliation 

Duration:                           Short-term project3-4 months 

Schedule:                            8 AM 12 PM, Monday – Friday (excluding holidays)  

Time commitment:        At least 14 hours per week 

Location:                            In person, El Paso County downtown facility 

Supervisor(s):                  County Volunteer Coordinator and Purchasing &

                                           Logistics Warehouse Manager 

 

Typical Duties: 

  • Help identify missing, untagged, or misplaced items and report discrepancies to the logistics team
  • Provide support during site visits by helping coordinate access, staging areas, and equipment
  • Assist with sorting and organizing assets identified for surplus, transfer, or disposal
  • Provide general warehouse and field support, including moving and staging items when necessary
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with County departments and staff
  • Communicate progress and findings to supervisors and assist with weekly inventory updates

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to follow instructions accurately with strong attention to detail
  • Professional and respectful in all interactions
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and take direction
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Must complete a volunteer application and attend a volunteer orientation
  • Must sign a confidentiality statementliability waiver and photo release consent form
  • Must undergo a background check 
  • Must complete mandatory trainings as instructed
