Agua Dulce Community Center Helper
Volunteer
Purpose: Building trust and supporting a safe, healthy, evolving community
Hours needed: Varies with activity
Time commitment: At least 4 hours per month
Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator and Community Center Manager
Typical Duties:
- Greet visitors to the center and ensure all visitors sign-in
- Answer the phone and provide information to callers
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service
- Assist staff with programs, classes, and outreach events to include assistance with hosting marketing, maintaining records, and other tasks needed to ensure success
- Perform such other related duties as may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to be culturally aware and empathetic to adults of diverse backgrounds
- Well-organized, friendly, helpful, and efficient
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
- Work well with others and participate fully in team-oriented environments
- Interface with other employees and customers in a courteous and respectful manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Project positive support of their department and all county organizations at all times
- Maintain and enhance the County’s commitment to customer service excellence
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 16 years or older to volunteer for this position
- Must complete a volunteer application and attend volunteer orientation
- Must sign and agree to a confidentiality policy, liability waiver, and photo release consent form
- Must pass a background check and jail clearance process
- Completion of any required training prior to facility access
- Must comply with all facility rules, dress codes, and security procedures
