 Agua Dulce Community Center Helper

                                             Volunteer 

Purpose:                     Building trust and supporting a safe, healthy, evolving community 

Hours needed:          Varies with activity 

Time commitment:   At least 4 hours per month 

Supervisor:                 Volunteer Coordinator and Community Center Manager 

 

Typical Duties: 

  • Greet visitors to the center and ensure all visitors sign-in
  • Answer the phone and provide information to callers
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service
  • Assist staff with programs, classes, and outreach events to include assistance with hosting marketing, maintaining records, and other tasks needed to ensure success
  • Perform such other related duties as may be assigned  

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Able to be culturally aware and empathetic to adults of diverse backgrounds
  • Well-organized, friendly, helpful, and efficient
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
  • Work well with others and participate fully in team-oriented environments
  • Interface with other employees and customers in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Project positive support of their department and all county organizations at all times
  • Maintain and enhance the County’s commitment to customer service excellence 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must be 16 years or older to volunteer for this position
  • Must complete a volunteer application and attend volunteer orientation
  • Must sign and agree to a confidentiality policy, liability waiver, and photo release consent form
  • Must pass a background check and jail clearance process
  • Completion of any required training prior to facility access
  • Must comply with all facility rules, dress codes, and security procedures
