Citizen Advocacy Volunteer-Sunbury
Citizen Advocacy is an innovative community based movement which aims to recognise, promote and defend the rights and interests of people with an intellectual disability. The Citizen Advocacy program is based in the North West suburbs connecting people with intellectual disabilities to other people in their area. We are looking for caring and responsible citizens to make a positive difference in the life of a person who may be lonely, face difficult challenges or be in a risky situation. This could include assisting people to participate in their community, became as independent as possible or perhaps speak up for them when there is a need. A small amount of your time can make a big difference to someone in your community.
