We are currently recruiting new volunteers.
The Volunteer Tutor Scheme (VTS) an important service within the AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) is expanding to now offer one to one tutoring remotely via digital platforms.
Volunteers commit to 1-2 hours a week supporting a newly arrived refugee or migrant practise English and learn about life in Australia.
VTS training is now available 100% online.

The VTS is currently experiencing an increase in referrals as more AMEP learners are now requesting VTS support to practice English conversation and receive assistance with EAL online work. Most importantly the VTS is becoming a very effective tool to assist in engaging AMEP learners and minimising the risk of increased social isolation for newly arrived refugees and migrants during this period of social distancing.
