Volunteer VCE Tutors needed – Regional Education Support Network (RESN)

Hey Uni Students! Ready to put your VCE smarts to good use and genuinely make a difference?

The Regional Education Support Network (RESN) is a student-run, not-for-profit that's all about levelling the playing field for high schoolers outside the major cities. We're on the hunt for passionate VCE volunteer tutors to become educational superheroes for Year 11 and 12 students in regional and rural areas.

This isn't just about grades; it’s about mentoring, inspiring, and connecting regional students with a strong network so they can smash their VCE goals and take control of their future. Your role goes beyond the textbook as you'll be bridging the educational gap and helping a student achieve their potential.

What's In It For You?

  • Be a Mentor, Not Just a Tutor: Use your recent VCE experience to give back and inspire students who might not have access to the same resources.
  • Serious Resume Boost: Gain a letter of reference as well as valuable, practical experience and skills in online teaching, leadership, and collaboration which employers love.
  • Flexible & Remote: All tutoring is done via video call, meaning you can volunteer from your uni dorm, your share house, or anywhere with good Wi-Fi.
  • Join a Great Student Community: RESN is run by students, just like you! You'll be part of a dynamic, supportive team of like-minded people.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You'll be volunteering around 2–4 hours per week to support students from regional and rural communities.
  • Deliver engaging, weekly group tutoring sessions (1–3 students) online.
  • Be available occasionally for asynchronous support (answering quick questions via messages).

Are You the One?

We're looking for uni students and recent high school grads who:

  • Smashed VCE: You have a study score of 40+ in at least one VCE subject.
  • Are Currently at Uni (or have finished high school within the last five years).
  • Can Commit: You can reliably volunteer 2–4 hours per week.
  • Got the Check: You have (or are willing to apply for) a free Volunteer Working with Children Check.

Ready to turn your old study notes into a student's success story? Join RESN and help make a real, tangible difference.
