Host volunteers
The Host Program is where Individual Volunteers (Host Volunteer) are trained and matched to a child or young adult with disability . The volunteer then provides regular and planned respite (care). This is a flexible and fun way of: Gaining experience in disability care; Providing a young person with new and fun opportunities for making friends and being part of the community; Providing families with opportunities for rest and quality time with other family members; Giving back to the community; Making a new friend; Planned respite can be anything from a few hours to a full weekend. We are seeking volunteers passionate about providing support and friendly interaction to our clients; it is amazing how a smile and a chat can brighten someone's day. Just a few hours or a day a month on a Friday night or weekend. Activities can take place out in the community or in your own home.
