Patience Community Services Inc is currently looking for a dressmaker/seamstress/tailor with excellent communication skills and extensive sewing experience using industrial machines. We are a non for profit organisation providing a holistic support to people at risk of homelessness and the unemployed. We intend to make various clothes and other accessories including toys for the needy/kids in the society as we gradually approach Christmas .Type of work includes clothing alterations and all types of clothing and fabric alterations, dressmaking, and everything in between.
We are looking to engage an experienced dressmaker/seamstress/tailor person to own this role on a voluntary basis whiles touching the lives of these people in a compassionate manner.
The candidate will also be required to carry other adhoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working within a small friendly
team. You must be able to work unsupervised with autonomy, using your own
initiative. In exchange you will be treated as a valued member, well
respected, working with a relaxed professional team.
Only those with at least 2- 3 years hands on experience need apply.
