Short Description You can help a young person become a good driver and increase road safety in Hume City.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and connect with others. You can help a young person become a good driver and increase road safety in Hume City.

If you enjoy driving and have a spare 1–2 hours per week to give back to the community, we need you!

The TAC L2P (learner to probationary licence) program needs more volunteers to meet demand in Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Sunbury.

The program provides cars and pairs local volunteers with young learner drivers who don’t have a supervising driver or a suitable vehicle. As a volunteer, you’ll to help them complete the 120 hours of driving experience they’ll need before they can apply for a probationary licence.

By offering great one-on-one mentorship and vehicles to drive, the TAC L2P program helps break down barriers to gaining driving experience and helps create safer drivers and safer roads.

As a volunteer, you'll get:

  • Training through a one-day program induction.
  • Access to a shared vehicle for your driving sessions.
  • The satisfaction that you’re helping a young person access the benefits of driving sooner.
