Family Support Volunteer
Very Special Kids is looking volunteers in the Northern Suburbs who can spend time supporting families of children with life-threatening conditions. Caring for a child with a life-threatening condition can be exhausting, both physically and emotionally. As a Very Special Kids Family Support volunteer, you can help ease the load by visiting families in their home, spending time with the sick child, their siblings or parents. If you are mature with life experience and can commit to regular volunteering over 12 months, please call Very Special Kids to register for our next Volunteer Information Session. Volunteers undertake a 27 hour (3 hours per week over 9 weeks) training program, a Working with Children and Police Check before being carefully matched with a family.
