Volunteer Disability Support Worker for Camps
We require fun and outgoing individuals to support people with disabilities to participate in outdoor recreation activities on our weekend, overnight and school holiday camps. We conduct camping programs for children, teenagers and adults with a disability. We are looking for individuals to work on a one to on basis with our campers. We need people who have a genuine interest in working with people with disabilities and who love the idea of helping people to participate in outdoor recreation activities in a camp environment. You need to enjoy the outdoors and camping (bunkhouse accommodation), be enthusiastic, committed, responsible, reliable and have a sense of fun. We need people over the age of 16 years. Some experience with working with people with disabilities is an advantage, but not essential. We provide ongoing training and all accommodation and meals. All potential volunteers will be police checked & require a working with children check and a disability workers exclusion scheme check. All new volunteers must also attend a new volunteer training session.
