Deliver meals assistant

Would you like to help support our eligible elderly & people with disabilities to deliver prepared meals in Hume City. You will be assisting our staff drivers in collecting the food eskys and help monitor our client's wellbeing. 

Weekdays - one shift per available, 8.45am start - finish 1pm on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays

Volunteers Task:

  • Physical ability to carry out tasks as listed in this position description.
  • An understanding of and an ability to communicate sensitively with older people and people with disabilities
  • Undertake basic administrative tasks as required
  • Respect for culturally and ethnic diverse clients
  • Actively listen and communicate openly with others
  • Actively participate and contribute to the team

Requirements:

  • Successful interview and Police Check is required (we cover the cost),
  • Good communications skills- proficiency in English language, bilingual desirable
  • Working with Children Check card with successfully organisation added to the card. (All volunteers need to have a current Working with Children Check before commencing, applications are free of charge for volunteers.
  • Desirable - Level 2 First Aid certificate.
  • Desirable - Food handling
