We are looking for highly organised IT/NETWORKING person with a can do attitude and mature approach, willing to own this role reporting to the IT manager. We are a not for Profit Organisation providing relief to the vulnerable and the distressed in the society as well as, migrants, seniors and the kids not only to bridge the digital divide but most importantly to ensure their independence. We also provide holistic support to the people at risk of homelessness and the unemployed. We are looking to engage an experienced IT/NETWORKING person to own this role on a voluntary basis whiles touching the lives of these people in a compassionate manner.
The candidate will also be required to carry out administrative tasks from time to time as well.
This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working within a small friendly team. You must be able to work unsupervised with autonomy, using your own initiative. In exchange you will be treated as a valued member, well respected, working with a relaxed professional team.
You must be proficient in LAN administration, Variety of Computer Installation Services and Technical Problem Solving for a network of approximately 100 users as well as a clear communicator with proven experience in Australia for at least 2-3 years with hands on computing and networking skills.
Job Description:

Computer Technician Section - Install, configure, troubleshoot and repair pc’s (hardware and software)

Research and provide advice on technical problems and questions, recommends corrective action to be taken.

Liaise with and supervise key vendors as part of problem analysis

Project management

Adhere to the organisations Policies & Procedures

Network & Server Technician Section - Ad hoc technical queries relating to computer software on pc’s and servers

Assist training of new Volunteers

Occasional assistance with performance of some operational activities as required (eg backup& restores, computer room monitoring, CD& other routine user requests user profile requests)
