The Meadows School Learning Support Program
Would you like to help local kids with their school work? Are you interested in helping kids develop social skills and confidence? Do you have a positive, patient manner? If so, you would be a fantastic volunteer tutor. Volunteers work one on one or in small groups with children in all Year levels . The purpose of this is to reinforce learning undertaken in the classroom. Volunteers also act as an appropriate role model and assist in the development of the student's social skills and confidence. The Meadows Learning Club is held on Thursdays at The Meadows School in Broadmeadows, during the school term, from 3.15 - 4.30 Volunteers are required to: *Assist students with their homework *Record details related to activities undertaken and student behaviour/progress at the end of each session *Inform the Coordinator of any concern related to students *Advise the Coordinator as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the Learning Club *Exercise a duty of care at all times
