Fostering
Fosters provide a loving home for dogs that may not be highly adoptable due to medical needs, age, behavior, or being overlooked. As a foster, you will help the dog adjust to home life by working on basic commands, house training, and leash walking, while also providing daily care such as feeding, grooming, and plenty of love.
Fosters play a crucial role in preparing dogs for adoption by teaching them how to live in a home, making their transition smoother once they find their match.
Fosters are expected to bring their foster dog to adoption events when available (ideally three times per year) and attend monthly foster meetings.
Mission Statement
The mission of National Mill Dog Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry.
