Enjoy variety, staying busy and being part of a friendly team? Join our Port Macquarie Op Shop as a Retail Assistant and help keep the shop floor running smoothly, from sorting donations through to serving customers, all while raising vital funds for animals in need.
As a Retail Assistant, you'll get involved in a bit of everything on the shop floor — no two shifts are quite the same. You'll work alongside a small, supportive team dedicated to giving pre-loved items a second life and making sure every customer has a great experience.
What you will be doing:
- Sorting and organising donated goods
- Pricing items ready for sale
- Styling and refreshing shop displays
- Assisting customers on the shop floor
- Processing sales using cash or EFTPOS
- Tidying and cleaning shelves and display
- Clocking in and out of each shift using Better Impact, either on a personal mobile device or the iPad provided on site.
What were looking for:
- At least 18 years of age
- Friendly, reliable and a team player
- Comfortable interacting with customers
- Ability to lift up to 10kg
- Clear and accurate communication skills
- Previous retail experience is welcomed but not essential
- Able to commit to regular shifts on a monthly roster
Time Commitment
Flexible days and shifts available, Monday to Saturday, in a hands-on role that makes a real difference in the Port Macquarie community. In the near future, Sunday shifts may also be available.
