Port Macquarie Supporter Group - Coordinator
Coordinator – Port Macquarie Supporter Group, RSPCA NSW
The Port Macquarie Supporter Group is one of the most active volunteer-run groups in all of RSPCA NSW — and we need the right person to help keep it that way.
This is not your average volunteer role. As Coordinator, you'll lead a passionate, dedicated team of volunteers who support hundreds of pet owners each year through community programs, fundraising initiatives and a thriving op shop. It's a role that demands energy, organisation and heart — and offers something truly rare in return: the chance to make a visible, lasting difference in your own community.
Our current Coordinator has done a wonderful job building the group into what it is today, and is committed to ensuring a smooth handover before she moves on at the start of May. Whoever steps into this role will have her full support and guidance from day one.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and motivating the committee, members and volunteers
- Chairing meetings and providing ongoing support to the team
- Driving fundraising initiatives and community programs
- Responding to requests for assistance from community members
- Communicating and supporting RSPCA NSW's strategic goals in the local community
- Ensuring all RSPCA NSW guidelines, policies and procedures are followed
What we're looking for
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Integrity, trustworthiness and a positive attitude
- A genuine eagerness to support the mission of RSPCA NSW in the Port Macquarie community
Time commitment
Around 15–20 hours per month. Given how active the Port Macquarie Supporter Group is, your time will be varied, rewarding and never dull!
