Join our Taree Supporter Group as Coordinator and help lead a dedicated team of volunteers supporting pet owners across the Taree area through community programs, fundraising initiatives, desexing support and vet care financial assistance.
As Coordinator, you'll work alongside a wonderful team of volunteers, providing the direction and energy needed to keep the group thriving. You'll also act as the key link between the local group and RSPCA NSW — championing our mission right in the heart of your community.
What you'll be doing
- Working alongside and motivating the committee, members and volunteers to deliver on the group's goals
- Chairing meetings and providing ongoing support and guidance to the team
- Driving fundraising initiatives and community programs that support RSPCA NSW's work in the local area
- Responding to requests for assistance from community members in a timely and professional manner
- Communicating and supporting RSPCA NSW's mission within the Taree community
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with RSPCA NSW guidelines, policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- At least 18 years of age
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Reasonable organisational skills and the ability to juggle a few tasks at a time
- Comfortable taking initiative while also working collaboratively with others
- Reliable, trustworthy and supportive of others
- Previous involvement in volunteering, community groups or committees is welcomed but not essential
- A genuine enthusiasm for animal welfare and the mission of RSPCA NSW
Time commitment
Around 15 hours per month in a varied and rewarding role that makes a real difference in the Taree community.
