As a Transport Driver Volunteer, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our shelter operations running smoothly — supporting foster carers, moving essential supplies, and helping animals get where they need to go.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering essential supplies and medicines to our foster carers.
- Collecting orders and donations from suppliers, members of the public and businesses.
- Sorting and moving donations at our shelter.
- Assisting with daily deliveries and stock take.
- Supporting our sustainability committee with the return and earn program.
- Transporting animals safely to and from various locations as needed.
This role is ideal for those who understand that non-animal contact roles play a profound and essential part in advancing animal welfare.
What we're looking for
- At least 18 years of age.
- Current NSW C-Class driver's license.
- Able to lift up to 20kg.
- Willing to complete our online Basic Animal Handling and Transport course (approx. 4.5 hours, can be done at home or during your first few shifts).
- Agreement to our motor vehicle policy.
Shifts available
Once a week as needed | Mondays and Wednesdays | 9am–3pm
