RSPCA NSW volunteer Branches and Supporter Groups play a vital role in supporting local communities through desexing programs, fundraising initiatives, education, and advocacy to improve animal welfare.
Our Hunter Supporter Group is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join the team as Administration Support. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your administrative skills while making a meaningful difference for animals and the people who care for them.
What does the role look like?
- Support the overall administration of the Supporter Group.
- Establish meeting dates and organise venues.
- Prepare and circulate meeting agendas in consultation with the Coordinator.
- Maintain the meeting attendance register.
- Record accurate minutes of meetings, ensuring all written and verbal reports are documented and that the finance report is attached.
- Initiate follow-up actions arising from meeting resolutions (e.g., letters, emails, phone calls).
- Hands on coordination of fundraising initiatives and community activities.
- Ensure all RSPCA NSW guidelines, policies, procedures, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements are followed.
What are the requirements?
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Administration experience – desirable.
- Become a financial member of RSPCA NSW.
- Willing to gain understanding of RSPCA NSW or Charitable organisations.
- Ability to work within a team and work independently to coordinate an initiative.
- Strong verbal, reading and writing skills.
- Passion for interacting with people and animals.
- Positive attitude.
