Duke of Ed Volunteer

Looking for a meaningful way to complete your Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteering hours while gaining valuable experience and giving back to your community?

National Trust Victoria offers a range of volunteer opportunities across our unique heritage properties. As a Duke of Ed volunteer, you'll contribute to preserving and sharing Victoria's history while building practical skills, confidence, and experience.

Depending on your interests, availability, and the needs of each property, you may assist with:

  • Tour Guide Support
  • Front of House and Visitor Welcome
  • Housekeeping and Collections Care
  • Event Support
  • Historical Research Projects
  • Gardening and Grounds Care
  • Light Maintenance Activities

Whether you're interested in history, heritage, horticulture, events, research, or community engagement, there's an opportunity to learn something new and make a genuine contribution.

Opportunities exist for The Heights ( Thursdays and Sundays), Barwon Grange ( Tuesdays and Sundays), Chiltern properties ( Fridays and Saturdays).

Join our volunteer community, meet like-minded people, and help bring Victoria's heritage places to life.
