Fundraising Volunteer

Enthusiastic volunteers are always needed to help out with the many organised fundraising events which are hosted by Mary Stevens Hospice throughout the year. 

What will I be doing?
This is a varied role where you could you helping with:
- Helping set up and take down gazebos, stalls etc.
- Giving out Ice Cream at our visits to community groups
- Supporting selling goodies at the Hospice pantomime
- Attending a local community event with our 'Hook a Duck'
- Supporting on a stall at one of the Hospice run events
- Selling raffle tickets for a fantastic hamper
- Preparing prizes prior to our Hospice events
and much more! 

What skills and experience will I need? 
- Enthusiastic and approachable
- Good communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Planning and organisation skills
- Understanding of cash handling
- Empathy and understanding 

Please note you will be expected to undergo training where required and you may be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

 
How often will I be volunteering?
This role is ad-hoc volunteering and you will be informed when volunteers are required to support at our Hospice events or external events where we will be representing The Mary Stevens Hospice. This can involve, weekday, weekend and evening opportunities. 

What Support will I get?
As a fundraising volunteer you will receive a in-depth volunteer onboarding and induction process. You will receive ongoing support and training from the volunteer and fundraising team at the Hospice.
