Patient Care Assistant volunteers who operate the patient laundry help improve patient experience at Tweed Valley Hospital
The patient laundry is unique to Tweed Valley Hospital. Requests are made by individual ward receptions, to wash, dry and fold personal clothing for patients who don’t have family support. The impact of this support for patients is enormous and the knowledge that additional help is available to patients is immeasurable.
This role is varied and encompasses lots of flexibility as tasks can change with the needs of the hospital. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will primarily operate behind the scenes and only enter wards when picking up or dropping off laundry from the ward reception.
