Volunteer Driver

Location: Peasedown St John, Somerset, England
Do you enjoy driving and have an interest in football?
"Hi - I live in Peasedown St John and I am supported by Dimensions. I have Downs Syndrome and love to play football. I am looking for a friendly volunteer driver to help me get to my football practice and matches.”

Activities will include:
- Driving the person we support from Peasedown St John to weekly football practice in Keynsham on Tuesday evenings (for 7pm)
- Driving the person we support to football matches when possible
- Offering support and friendship
- Driving the person we support in a safe manner, in accordance with UK law.
We are looking for drivers who:
- Are aged 21 or over, with at least 2 years driving experience
- Hold a full, clean and current UK Driving License (or equivalent)
- Have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions in relation to journeys
- Reliable/dependable and willing to volunteer regularly and on Tuesday evenings
- Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and/or autism
A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.
