5th Grade BizTown - 25-26 BizTown- Larson and Theroux
Please sign up to show your interest in being selected as a volunteer. Teachers will randomly draw names to be assigned to the volunteer positions.
The 5th grade classes will be going to JA BizTown, a unique experiential education program operated by JA of Central Iowa Inc. This on-site visit is one of the concluding activities to the curriculum, which encompasses important elements of community and economy, work readiness, financial literacy, and business management.
BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.

Please note that volunteers may not be assigned the same business as their child.

- 25-26 Volunteer Manual Must be Complete
