SHARE Food Network Program Description
Thousands of families count on SHARE each month for affordable, nutritious groceries that are sold through volunteer-run locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area. SHARE is shrinking food desserts and stretching family food budgets.
Volunteer Opportunities at the SHARE Food Network:
Bagging: Generally on the 1st OR 2nd Saturday of the month, volunteers breakdown warehouse sized loads of potatoes, beans, rice and other foods into family sized portions. Sign up here.
Distribution: Generally on the 2nd OR 3rd Friday AND Saturday of the month (but this varies) volunteers help volunteers from SHARE distribution sites to assemble food to fulfill orders from their member families. Make sure you get there on time for the opening welcome and prayer circle: great way to start the day! Sign up here.
