Role Overview:

As a Marshal, you’ll help ensure the safety and smooth flow of participants along the event route.

Shift Time Options:

• 6:00pm – 9:30pm (pre-walk briefing and walk start support)
• 8:00pm – 12:30am (full walk coverage and event close)
• 6:00pm – 12:30am (full event shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide participants safely along the designated route

• Manage road crossings and key junction points

• Provide clear directions and reassurance to walkers

• Monitor for any safety concerns and report issues to the event team

• Offer encouragement and a friendly presence throughout the evening

We’re looking for people who:

• Are confident and approachable

• Can stand for extended periods

• Communicate clearly and remain calm under pressure

• Are happy working outdoors in the evening

You’ll play a vital role in keeping everyone safe from the 9:00pm walk start through to the final walkers finishing at midnight.
