Kindergarten Field Trip - Kindergarten Field Trip Kempton
Sign up to show your interest in attending the Jester Park field trip on Wednesday, October 7th.
The buses will arrive to Jester Park at 9:00, volunteers need to arrive at the Jester Park Nature Center by 8:45 to ensure you arrive before the buses. Buses will depart around 1:15, so volunteers should plan to be present until the bus leaves. Jester Park is located at 12130 NW 128th St, Granger, Iowa 50109.
We will be eating lunch at Jester Park. Volunteers need to bring a sack lunch for themselves that day. All lunch packaging must be disposable as we will not have the means to store anything after lunch like ice packs or reusable containers.
We ask that parent volunteers bring a backpack to help assist students in carrying water bottles if needed. We will ask students to carry their own water bottle to the extent possible but having this option will be helpful.
Volunteers should dress in long pants and layers. We will be walking and exploring places that have long prairie grass and possible poisonous plants. Volunteers should also wear closed toe shoes and possibly a hat to avoid ticks. It is also recommended that volunteers use sunscreen and bug spray. A filled water bottle is also recommended as there are no water fountains at some parks. Volunteers will not be permitted to bring SPF on the trip to put on students during the field trip.
Volunteers are not allowed to bring any siblings with them on this field trip.
