Education Assistant at Historic Stewart Farm Step back in time and volunteer at Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey. As a person who loves children, you will enhance the delivery programs to classes who visit the heritage site on field trips. No experience? No problem - all training (and historic costumes!) provided.

Responsibilities
Education Assistants help make the fieldtrips an unforgettable experience for children, teachers and parent helpers alike. You support staff to tour around the 1894 farmhouse and heritage site, let the kids get hands-on experiences and maybe even have a taste of the farm! Training is flexible, where you shadow staff and experienced volunteers for as long as you need to take.
Our 90 minute school programs run throughout the school year so you get the summer off too! Program bookings are available Tuesday - Fridays 10:00-11:30am or 12:30-2:00pm
Application Process
Step #1 – Eligibility Requirements
To apply to be a volunteer in the Heritage Services volunteer program, you must be:
- 14 years or older
- Eligible to volunteer in Canada (check your travel documents, if applicable)
Step #2 – Apply
- Fill in an application
- Attend an interview
- Submit 2 references
- Complete a Police Information Check
Step #3 – Volunteer
- When all the above steps have been completed, you will be contacted by phone or email by an Heritage Service administrator
This process can take up to 6 weeks so we thank you for your diligence and patience. Once you are eligible to volunteer, log-in to your profile at MyImpactPage.com to search and sign up for volunteer activities, confirm shifts and record your hours of service.
