Teen Volunteer Opportunities - Homework Help
Homework Help shifts are posted one week at a time. If you meet the qualifications, you will be automatically assigned. Due to the popularity of volunteering, not everyone who applies is selected. Please check your schedule on MyImpactPage to see if you were assigned. If you are assigned, please show up at the time and date that you signed up for.
You will be assisting K-8th grade students to understand their homework. Our most common need is to help elementary students with math, but you should be prepared to help with any subject. You will check in each day with our adult Homework Coordinator. They can also help you if you have trouble explaining the assignment to the child you are helping. You can do your own homework if no younger students need your help.
Some students need extra help with reading. For reading, you should plan to listen to them read aloud. You can help them pronounce and define words they don't understand.

- Follow library guidelines for privacy and behavior
- Show up for scheduled shifts
* Note for parents: Please have your teen fill out the application with their contact information, as they will be the one volunteering.
**Note for first time applicants: When you apply, please do not enter a school e-mail address. Any e-mails to school e-mail addresses from outside organizations will bounce back.
