Volunteer Opportunities
Ambassador Volunteer at Museum of Surrey - MoS Ambassadors roam the museum galleries making visitors feel welcome and supported. They teach visitors how to handle museum artefacts and why it is important to preserve the history of our City.
Location
Museum of Surrey (17710 56A Avenue, Cloverdale)
Responsibilities
What might that look like? You might start your shift handing out scavenger hunts and asking people how they heard about the museum. You might direct people to onsite demonstrations or fill them in about a cool upcoming event. You can even attend training on handling museum artefacts, and help visitors learn all about it too!
Basically, MOS Ambassadors are the warm welcome to the museum. You’re available if visitors need you and are prepared to work with staff to see how we can improve the visitor experience. You enjoy conversation and smiling. If you can speak a second language, that is fabulous. If not, that’s okay too.
We ask for a commitment of one shift per month. All training provided.
