Waller House - WH Garden Information Session

Learn about becoming a Garden Volunteer at Waller House. You will support the maintenance and presentation of one of Victoria’s most significant heritage gardens. Your work helps preserve the garden’s historical value and ensures it remains a beautiful and welcoming space for all visitors. This role directly contributes to the National Trust of Australia (Victoria)’s mission to conserve and celebrate our natural and cultural heritage.
Time Requirement :  Thursdays 10am -12 minimum twice a month
Reports to : NTAV Gardens Volunteer Leading Hand 
Volunteer Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Attend weekly working bees under the direction of the Leading Hand
  • Carry out seasonal garden maintenance tasks such as: Planting /Weeding / Pruning / Raking / General presentation
  • Work cooperatively with other volunteers to maintain high standards
  • Support the ongoing development of the garden within available resources
  •  
  • Skills, Qualifications or Experience Required (or Desirable)
  • No experience necessary—training provided
  • A willingness to learn and enjoy routine gardening tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic physical fitness for outdoor tasks

Other Requirements of the Role
  • Completion of NTAV General Volunteer Induction
  • Site Induction by Property Manager or Leading Hand
  • Police Check
