One Book, One Coast Interview Team
This volunteer opportunity is connected to the "One Book, One Coast Livestream" activity. Volunteers who sign up for this opportunity will be required to meet on both Tuesday, May 26 and Sunday, May 31.
After the May 31 Livestream there will be a half-hour interview discussion with Newark Library volunteer Judy Tokubo. She will speak about her family's experiences in American incarceration camps during World War II.
The interview team will meet Tuesday, May 26, from 6-7pm, to create questions to ask Judy. The team will ask Judy the questions in front of the audience on May 31.
Even though the May 26 meeting will be one hour, this volunteer opportunity will earn you 2 hours because you will be given two articles with background information that you can read and study offsite. The May 31 Livestream will earn you 3 service hours. After you sign up for the Interview Team, library staff will assign you to the Livestream activity.
Volunteer requirements:
- Follow library guidelines for privacy and behavior
- Show up for scheduled shifts
