County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation

Volunteering with the Department of Parks and Recreation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR)! Our volunteers are essential to helping us care for more than 158 parks and facilities across 58,000 acres of land. Whether you enjoy the outdoors, love working with people, or want to give back to your community, there’s a place for you in our volunteer family.

We offer a wide variety of opportunities, from helping at events and educational programs to maintaining trails, supporting park operations, and preserving our natural and cultural resources. Volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Watch our video above to learn more about who we are and how our team makes a difference every day.
