Volunteer Requirements
We are delighted that you are considering joining our hospice volunteer team!
To help you understand what to expect during the application process, we’d like to share our requirements for all Nathan Adelson Hospice Volunteers:
- A background check, which requires applicants to provide a social security number and a driver’s license or state ID.
- TB (tuberculosis) clearance which includes a blood test.
- Volunteers who drive must have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage that meets the minimum requirements by the state of Nevada.
- Volunteer training consisting of approximately 9-12 hours of online training and in-person orientation.
These requirements help ensure the highest quality of care for our patients and a supportive environment for our volunteers. If you have any questions about our program or need help navigating the website to apply, please feel free to email volunteer@nah.org or call us at (702) 796-3185.
