The Salvation Army

Be a Shield. Volunteer With Us.

For more than 150 years, The Salvation Army has sought to be a shield for those in crisis. When you partner with us to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and provide hope to the lost, you become a shield, too.

Volunteers are often called “the Army behind The Army.” They play a crucial role in our ability to provide quality social services for the entire Birmingham community. We need people like you to stand with us and be a shield for our vulnerable neighbors.

We’ve moved to a new volunteer platform

All volunteer registration and scheduling now happens through our new volunteer site.

Have you volunteered with us before through Better Impact? Welcome back! Please create a new profile on our new site to see and sign up for upcoming opportunities.
