Lincoln Acres County Park - Park Host at Lincoln Acres County Park

Volunteer Where You Love to Be: Become a Park Host!

Do you enjoy the outdoors, connecting with visitors, and being part of your community? Become a Park Host with San Diego County Parks! Park Hosts volunteer at day-use parks, open space preserves, and nature or community centers to support operations, welcome guests, and help care for these beautiful public spaces.

In exchange for at least 20 volunteer hours per week, you’ll receive a free on-site RV or trailer pad with full hookups (electricity, water, and sewer) and the chance to make a real impact. Park Hosts assist with:

  • Greeting and informing visitors
  • Supporting ranger or staff presence
  • Performing light maintenance, landscaping, and litter pickup
  • Clean and stock bathrooms and facilities
  • Helping during events or educational programs (location-dependent)
  • Being a point of contact after hours

Park Host roles are perfect for friendly, reliable volunteers who have a self-contained RV or trailer in good condition and are available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Interested? Submit a volunteer application and make sure to complete the “hosting” questions to be considered!
