Parks Event Assistants (Ages 16+) - 2026 Bear Creek Lights - Event Assistant
APPLICATIONS WILL OPEN SEPTEMBER 12, 2026
As a Bear Creek Lights Event Assistant, you will:
- Receive training and experience in event setup/takedown,
- Greet and direct guests through the light displays,
- Help to facilitate various programs, and more!
Bear Creek Lights Event Assistants are required to:
- Participate in a training session before volunteering,
- Volunteer for at least two shifts between November 6-20, 2026 ( shifts are in the evenings)
- Work as a team with staff and other volunteers,
- Interact with the public in a friendly, professional manner.

Step 1 – Eligibility Requirements |
- Must be 16 years or older
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to travel to travel to Bear Creek Park, 13750 88 Ave

Step 2 - Apply |
- Sign-up or submit an application before October 11, 2026
- Submit two references,
- Attend an interview,
- Submit a Police Information Check (free for volunteers).

Step 3 – Volunteer |
- Once steps 1 and 2 are complete, we will contact you to register for training.
