Audubon Climate Watch Surveys - Climate Watch Summer Surveys - MS

The summer Climate Watch pulse runs from May 15th to June 15th. This year we will be following the safety guidelines listed here: Climate Watch Winter 2022 Guidelines

For a refresher, here is the link to the project that contains all the survey information:  https://www.audubon.org/features/esri-climate-watch. Our target species remains the Brown-headed Nuthatch. Each survey area contains 12 locations for point counts. Each point count lasts for 5 minutes. All that is required is that you be able to identify this one bird, the Brown-headed Nuthatch. If you are able to ID more species, you can also submit a full eBird checklist. We are also looking for new areas to be surveyed in the lower six coastal counties. Please email: tim.guida@audubon.org if you would like to plan to survey a new area near your home or favorite birding spot. Stay tuned for more information!
