2016 Special Events - Donut Day Fundraiser - Rockford

Activity Summary:

The two-day event known as "Donut Day" is right around the corner. "Donut Day" is in remembrance of World War I, when The Salvation Army distributed hearty donuts and coffee to the exhausted soldiers in the trenches of the battlefields. Funds raised during "Donut Day" support The Salvation Army's many social service programs. 

We're looking for positive, upbeat, and engaging people who will help us fight hunger in the Rockford Area.  You must be able to stand for a couple of hours at a time.

Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts June 3rd 10am - 6pm, June 4th 10am - 6pm.

Qualifications:

  • 16 years or older
  • Reliable, friendly, and honest

 Policies:

Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer site.

Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army. Pants and shirts must cover the waistband. Tank tops, undershirts, halter tops, crop tops, spaghetti straps and strapless tops are not permitted. Shirts with print are not to be offensive. Transparent, tight or form fitting clothes are not permitted. Skirt/dresses must not be worn more than two inches above the knee.
