We are looking for dedicated, energetic volunteers to help us bring the weekend to life. Whether you are a seasoned Pines veteran or a first-time visitor, your contribution ensures a safe, spectacular, and seamless experience for everyone.

- 3+ Shifts: Full Weekend Pass — all four parties: ALTAR EGO, LORE, TRANSCENDENCE, and SOLARIS
*Shift definition: 1 shift = one 8-hour day OR two 4-hour half-day shifts.
Please note: Housing is not provided.
To ensure all proceeds benefit our partner charities, volunteers must arrange their own travel and lodging in the Pines.
Brief History Note
Pines Party traces its roots to 1983, when a group of Pines residents threw a fundraiser for Gay Men's Health Crisis at the height of the AIDS crisis. From those morning parties on oceanfront decks, a tradition grew. In 1999, a small group reconvened and reimagined it as Pines Party — a night party, a theme, tents on the beach. That first year raised half a million dollars. Today it's an institution. Every volunteer is part of that lineage.

Pines Party is the jewel of New York's queer nightlife calendar — a charitable event and pilgrimage that has brought the global LGBTQ+ community to the shores of Fire Island Pines for over 27 years. Now this year Pines Party 2026 becomes ALTAR EGO: A space to embody the figures we've been drawn to, and the ones we've been waiting to become. At the edge of the island, where day dissolves into night. something ancient moves through us again. From heroes to monsters, gods to creatures beyond definition, this is where we step out of ourselves, and into something else entirely.
Our organization is built on the heart of our volunteers. Together, we raise funds for the The Pines Foundation, Stonewall Community Foundation, and The Seashore Defense Fund — and we celebrate our community with purpose.
