The goal of pet visitation is to bring joy, comfort and companionship to the residents of the home.  This position provides opportunities for residents to safely interact with animals in a controlled environment, to reach and maintain their optimal level of physical, mental and emotional functioning and well-being, to stimulate interest and enjoyable activity, alleviate anxiety and loneliness, and to encourage social engagement with others through the pet.
